The One-on-One Help Program provides customized support to children ages 6-15. These children are often forced to quit school to become caregivers and bread-winners for their families, usually because one or both of their parents are disabled by serious illness. Golden Courage helps these children continue their education, assist their families and become self-sufficient.
In 2011, the Beijing government adopted our model and implemented this program throughout the city of Beijing. Golden Courage has helped to create new social policy through the positive results of this program, and an additional 300-plus families have become self-sufficient.
